Fujifilm unveils inkjet ink innovations and drupa 2024 plans at pre-drupa 2024

During the opening day of the pre-drupa 2024 International Media Conference, Fujifilm emerged as a prominent exhibitor, unveiling groundbreaking advancements in inkjet ink technology and detailing its participation at the forthcoming drupa 2024 event.

 

One of the key highlights was the introduction of AQUAFUZE inkjet ink technology, a groundbreaking development combining water-based and UV curable ink. This technology, set to launch in Autumn 2024, promises to revolutionize wide format inkjet printing applications by offering safe, odourless ink with high rub resistance and compatibility with various substrates. Fujifilm expects this UV-curable aqueous ink to become the new standard in the wide format market.

 

Additionally, Fujifilm showcased its new inkjet products aimed at enhancing printing capabilities across various applications, including commercial printing, packaging, labels, security printing, and personal care. The FUJIFILM DE1024 Digital Embellishment Printbar System and FUJIFILM 42X Printbar System offer high-speed, drop-on-demand print technology, enabling digital embellishments and precise spot varnish effects. These systems integrate seamlessly with existing industrial equipment and processes, providing versatility and efficiency.

 

Fujifilm also presented its latest addition to the Revoria range, the Revoria Press GC12500, the world’s first B2 full-color dry toner digital press. This press offers high production efficiency, user-friendly operation, and media versatility, supporting a wide range of printing needs from commercial to large format applications.

Furthermore, Fujifilm introduced the Jet Press FP790, a water-based digital inkjet press for flexible packaging printing. This press allows for short-run, diverse product variations, and short lead times previously unattainable with analogue printing. The Jet Press FP790 features high-speed printing, vibrant color capabilities, and improved ink adhesion on various substrates, making it a game-changer in the flexible packaging market.

To enhance productivity, Fujifilm unveiled its Automation System for high-end wide-format machines. This system allows for a single operator to run the machine, offering a pallet-to-pallet process for rigid substrates, and facilitating a more efficient production line.
