Heidelberg to showcase digital integration in packaging

Technology on display to feature ‘push to stop’ approach aimed at freeing up operators

dubai  Heidelberg will showcase integrated digital and packaging solutions at GPP.

Zeid Al Jehni, general manager of Heidelberg Middle East, said the print giant would demonstrate “how to free the operators from routine tasks and how to support them with intelligent systems so that they can transform the technical potential of their machines into actual productivity”.

In a “shift in industrial print production” with Heidelberg’s ‘push to stop’ operating philosophy, the operator only interrupts the autonomously running process chain if necessary, he said.

“Heidelberg will always prove its leadership making sure that the customers make the best
return on their investments,” he added.

Heidelberg will also be showing at GPP an optional new neon yellow spot coloyr for its Versafire CV digital printing system. The toner glows under UV light, enabling it to attract even more attention and add unexpected touches to printingapplications,” said Roger Nicodeme, general manager – sales.

Heidelberg said that smart technologies and new digital printing systems for industrial production are opening completely new opportunities for companies in the print media sector.

Working with selected partners, Heidelberg is developing solutions for the entire valueadded chain. At GPP, the company will be featuring its collaboration with Fujifilm, with which it is developing digital packaging solutions.

Gallus, active from flexo to folding carton, will showcase integrated digital and packaging solutions geared to profitable business models.

Gallus is a leader in the development, production and sale of narrow-web, reel-fed presses for label manufacturers. Its portfolio includes consulting services provided by label experts in all relevant printing and process engineering tasks. The Gallus Group is a member of the Heidelberg Group and employs around 430 people. Gallus will present the latest technologies during GPP.
