KEZAD Group Expands Facilities with Gulf Printing & Packaging Co. in Abu Dhabi

In a significant development, Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group, the leading operator of integrated economic zones in the UAE, has officially inked a land lease agreement with Gulf Printing & Packaging Co (GPP) to facilitate an expansion of its premises within KEZAD Al Ma’mourah.

This expansion encompasses an additional 45,000 square meters, increasing GPP’s footprint in KEZAD to a total of more than 67,000 square meters. Remarkably, this marks the second expansion since 2021, effectively tripling the size of GPP’s facility within KEZAD Al Ma’mourah.

GPP, a specialist printing and packaging company founded in Abu Dhabi in January 2018, boasts the UAE’s largest, state-of-the-art printing and packaging machinery. Furthermore, it serves as the largest food-grade packaging manufacturing facility in the Emirate.

Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group, underlined the significance of business growth within economic zones, stating, “We are proud to host Gulf Printing & Packaging, the unique and largest facility of its kind in our food ecosystem to meet the needs of our clients within KEZAD.”

He continued, “As we continue to develop integrated business ecosystems, we also ensure that industrial development goes hand in hand with environmental responsibility. GPP’s expansion within KEZAD highlights the growth opportunities available to companies operating in Abu Dhabi, and adds significant value to the UAE’s manufacturing sector, in line with the vision of our wise leadership.”

Samer Hassan, General Manager of GPP, emphasized the importance of their location within the KEZAD Food ecosystem, offering high-quality food-grade packaging solutions to KEZAD’s food sector clients, contributing to the UAE’s food security goals and the establishment of a circular economy.

Emad Mohamed, Chief Financial Officer of GPP, emphasized the value of being situated in Abu Dhabi and specifically KEZAD, noting the potential for synergies in business relationships as more companies establish themselves in the community. He added, “GPP is proud and honored to call KEZAD home.”
