KHS has introduced Innoplant, a consultancy and engineering service for the planning and development of beverage production and bottling facilities in Saudi Arabia. The launch was announced during Gulfood Manufacturing 2026, held in Dubai from 3 to 5 November.
The service covers the development of new beverage plants, from initial feasibility studies and production planning through to engineering, installation, commissioning and operational support. It is aimed at established beverage manufacturers and new entrants operating in bottled water, carbonated soft drinks, juices and ready-to-drink beverages.
Innoplant is structured around four project phases, beginning with strategic consultancy and master planning. This includes feasibility assessments, production capacity planning, preliminary plant layouts, capital investment estimates and operating cost evaluations.
The second phase addresses plant engineering and infrastructure design, including production line configuration, equipment selection, factory layouts and utilities. Packaging and bottling line requirements form part of the overall plant planning process, alongside considerations relating to water and energy consumption.
The implementation phase covers equipment installation, system integration and commissioning. KHS also provides technical training and operational support following plant start-up.
According to KHS, Innoplant follows an open-system approach, allowing machinery and technologies from different equipment manufacturers to be incorporated into a facility according to project requirements.
The service also covers the expansion and modernisation of existing beverage production facilities, including assessments of plant infrastructure and production line configurations.
The consultancy service is led by Heiko Bucher, Senior Lead Consultant, and covers technical and commercial aspects of beverage plant development.
KHS has not announced any specific customer contracts or new manufacturing projects in Saudi Arabia in connection with the launch. The company is also scheduled to present Innoplant at BrauBeviale 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany, from 10 to 12 November.
