Kodak has released version 11.5 of the web-based KODAK PRINERGY INSITE Portals, introducing updates to its prepress and creative workflow tools. The portals provide authorized users with continuous remote access to production environments.
The PRINERGY INSITE Prepress Portal functions as a gateway to prepress operations, enabling file uploads into the PRINERGY Workflow. It also allows print service providers and their clients to monitor job progress, collaborate on revisions, and manage proofing and approvals. The PRINERGY INSITE Creative Workflow supports task-based collaboration for design creation, asset management, and approval processes.
Version 11.5 introduces additional actions for PRINERGY’s Rules-Based Automation, intended to streamline customer review and approval workflows. The update also includes enhancements aimed at improving job management speed and overall productivity. Email address synchronization across systems has been added to reduce inconsistencies in communication.
Support for updated macOS versions and revised libraries is included, contributing to improved responsiveness and stability for KODAK MATCHPRINT Virtual soft proofing. The release also features strengthened Internet Information Services configurations, aimed at enhancing system security and performance within the INSITE Portals.
“The introduction of PRINERGY INSITE Portals version 11.5 exemplifies Kodak’s commitment to continuous innovation of our prepress and print software ecosystem, helping printers to effectively adapt to evolving customer requirements,” said Jim Barnes, Chief IT Implementation Officer, Kodak. “With this upgrade, PRINERGY INSITE Portal users benefit from data security improvements, performance increases, and service and support benefits. As a result, they can offer their clients a safer and more convenient online collaboration experience and produce jobs more efficiently and profitably.”
The update reflects ongoing efforts to refine workflow integration and maintain compatibility with current operating environments. It is available to existing users of the PRINERGY platform, according to the company. No further details on deployment timelines were disclosed publicly.
