Koenig & Bauer has unveiled its XD Pro CI Flexo press, combining Italian market expertise in flexo printing with German engineering excellence to set new standards in performance reliability, process consistency, and efficiency. The XD Pro press has been designed to address just-in-time market demands for agile short-run production of sustainable flexible packaging.
As part of the CI-Flexo product portfolio, the XD Pro caters to the main markets in flexible packaging, synthetics, and fiber-based packaging applications. It offers cost-efficient premium print quality across various printing widths (1,000-1,400 mm), substrate thicknesses, and ink types (solvent and water-based) at speeds of up to 500m/min. The press can be configured with 8 or 10 color printing decks, and additional downstream units are available for coating, laminating, or patterned lacquering, all in a single pass.
The XD Pro CI Flexo press accommodates various printing substrates, including film, breathable, stretchable, shrinkable, laminates, and paper, with a range of print lengths from 330-850mm. The modular design offers customizable configurations, ensuring a competitive price-performance ratio.
