XSYS has unveiled the nyloprint® WS PRO Digital, a newly developed water-washable, steel-based letterpress plate suitable for the printing of plastic tubes, cups, metal cans, and aerosols. This plate is designed to optimize LED inline exposure and brush washout, offering exceptional print quality regardless of the processing equipment used.

The nyloprint® WS PRO D letterpress plate is available in four thicknesses and offers better Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). It is compatible with various printing methods, including dry offset, rotary letterpress, imprinting units, and special-purpose printing presses. Notably, it exhibits higher sensitivity to UVA LED exposure compared to the market standard, which results in faster processing on inline UV units. This increased durability and longer cleaning intervals further enhance efficiency during the printing process. The combination of LED exposure with nyloprint® WS PRO D delivers excellent print quality, with superior highlights and finer image details, along with reduced dot gain in print due to dot sharpening.
The plate’s enhanced formulation makes it less prone to deformation, leading to reduced plate waste and longer durability on press, contributing to sustainability in the production process. Moreover, it is compatible with various processing equipment, including the XSYS nyloprint® range and ThermoFlexX TFxX imagers equipped with a Hybrid drum.
