TNA Solutions has supplied a potato chip production and packaging line to Mohammed Riaz & Partner LLC (MR) for the launch of Muscat Chips and Muscat Chips Crinklz in Oman. The Dubai-dated announcement on 23 September 2026 marks MR’s entry into snack manufacturing.
The greenfield line has a stated capacity of 300 kg of chips per hour and supports 24 stock keeping units. It covers washing, peeling, slicing, blanching, frying, seasoning, distribution, weighing, metal detection, date coding and packaging. According to TNA, it can produce up to 120 pillow bags per minute for 12 g packs and accommodates 65 g packs and multipack formats.
TNA said it worked with MR on factory layout, utilities and line configuration as the site plans changed during development. The equipment includes a conti-pro PC 3 fryer, intelli-flav OMS 5.1 seasoning system, roflo VM3 distribution systems and robag 3e vertical form-fill-seal machine.
“TNA’s consultative and collaborative approach was critical to the execution of the project,” said Fahad Mohammed Riaz, vice chairman of MR. “The team supported us at every stage, from designing the layout to running the line, enabling a smooth product launch.”
MR has placed an order for a second potato chip line, the companies said. No timetable or capacity for that installation was provided in the announcement.
The project brings processing and packaging operations under one supplier for MR’s first snack facility. Its range of pack sizes and product variants is intended to serve Oman’s snack market, where the two Muscat Chips brands have now launched. TNA also supplied project guidance and local support, according to the announcement. The companies did not disclose the investment value or the facility’s precise location within Oman.
