W&H launches ONEFLEX CI in Atlanta to support flexible packaging production

According to the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA), Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) launched its ONEFLEX CI flexographic press globally on 1 October 2026 in Atlanta for flexible packaging printing. Jason Cagle, the company’s director of sales, announced the press during a technical spotlight at the FTA Technical Conference.

The press reaches speeds of up to 600 m/min. W&H said it was developed with an emphasis on easy handling and print quality, with a platform intended to support future production requirements.

The introduction forms part of the company’s focus on productivity, efficiency and connecting equipment within digital production environments. Across its CI flexo portfolio, W&H has emphasised automation, inspection and interconnected production as tools for improving output and process control.

W&H positioned ONEFLEX CI within its history of CI flexographic press development, which spans more than 70 years. The company says it introduced the world’s first CI printing press more than seven decades ago.

The Atlanta announcement gave conference attendees an early look at the addition to W&H’s flexible packaging printing equipment portfolio and its direction for the next generation of CI flexographic presses.

The two-day conference addressed print, process and quality challenges relevant to package printing professionals, including those working in pressrooms, prepress, quality and operations.

Technical sessions covered packaging workflow, mounting-room performance and data-driven process optimisation, alongside surface screening, microcell engineering, design of experiments and artificial intelligence. The programme also included updates on ongoing research projects from FTA’s Flexo Quality Consortium.

FIRST Live Level 1 training was offered alongside the conference, covering flexographic terminology, press components, inks, substrates and print quality evaluation. The training gave attendees an opportunity to build foundational knowledge of flexographic printing terminology, equipment and quality evaluation.
