GlobalVision and Esko introduce AI-powered solution for packaging and labelling compliance

GlobalVision and Esko have introduced Verify Comply, an artificial intelligence-based solution for checking packaging artwork and labelling content against regulatory and brand requirements for consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies.

The announcement, brings together GlobalVision’s Verify CheckAI technology and Esko’s Comply capabilities in a system designed to support packaging compliance reviews across product portfolios, markets and languages.

According to the companies, Verify Comply enables packaging, regulatory and marketing teams to inspect artwork, interpret label information and assess content against rules specific to brands, markets and individual stock-keeping units (SKUs).

The system covers packaging claims, ingredient and allergen declarations, nutritional and supplement information, and other labelling elements. It uses natural-language rulebooks and regulatory information to evaluate artwork and related content against applicable requirements.

Companies can use Verify Comply as a standalone application for quality and compliance checks or incorporate it into Esko’s WebCenter Go and WebCenter Enterprise platforms, allowing checks to form part of existing artwork review and approval workflows.

The solution also supports centralised rulebooks, enabling organisations to maintain and apply their own regulatory and brand standards across different products and markets. These rules can be reused by internal teams and external agency partners.

Jonathan Rossy, Product Director at GlobalVision, said the integration combines Esko’s established Comply capabilities with GlobalVision’s AI-based compliance technology, allowing users to review packaging content according to their requirements.

GlobalVision said the introduction responds to the demands facing CPG businesses as they manage multiple SKUs, market-specific labelling requirements and packaging approval processes.

The company has positioned Verify Comply as a tool for consolidating compliance checks and packaging content reviews within existing operational systems before artwork approval and subsequent production stages.
